Hana Water, one of the leading producers of bottled water in the Middle East, has renewed its logistics and distribution contract with Almajdouie for another five-year term, the latter announced. 'More than 150 dedicated tractors and trailers with specially designed idle curtains will be utilised in this promising project to meet the growing demands of Hana Water in its markets,' Almajdouie said in a statement. Hana Water is the brand of the National Plant for Healthy Water, which was established more than 30 years ago. The company’s kingdom-wise distribution system and quality has given Hana an edge in the market, the statement said. The two companies started their business relationship in 2008 with Hana Water recognising Almajdouie as a strategic partner for distribution to 23 cities within Saudi Arabia. 'Both companies developed good understanding in managing requirements. Almajdouie’s professional approach enabled Hana Water to focus on its core business which was production, sales and marketing. As for Almajdouie, we tailored our logistics services and exceeded the client’s expectations,' said the statement. Hana Water’s requirements were handled by Almajdouie Logistics & Distribution (MLD), a member of the Almajdouie Group. MLD is one of the largest integrated transportation and logistics services providers in Saudi Arabia. It operates terminals and warehouses, also managing warehouses on behalf of its customers. 'MLD has been in operation for 40 years and is reputed for its professionalism. MLD was one of the first companies to provide 3PL and SCM services in Saudi Arabia,' the statement said. The signing ceremony took place at the Almajdouie headquarters in Dammam. Present were Hana Water CEO Ahmed Al Theyab, Almajdouie Group president Abdullah Almajdouie and the vice president of Almajdouie Logistics World, SI Mustafa. Also attending were Almajdouie officials Bahiej Al Biqawi, director of supply chain management; Sami Al Zaben, general manager, MLD, and Syed Burhanuddin, operations manager, MLD.
