Interiors International, a specialised turnkey interior fit out contractor, says investments it has made over the past few years will stand it in good stead when demand for material and services in its sector picks up pace.
“Over the last five years we have invested heavily in new plant facilities and state-of-the-art machinery that enables us to produce to an exceptional quality standard, and significantly reduce our lead times and production costs,” says David Meikle, group managing director.
“We are confident these measures will allow our continued expansion into the worldwide hospitality and accommodation markets, where we have always maintained a significant presence as an innovative market leader,” he added.
Commenting on the company’s plans, Meikle says: “Our aims for the next year include developing our systems and procedures towards more green practices. Having gained FSC & PEFC certification it is the next stage in our continuous efforts to assist wherever possible in helping the environment.”
Its plans to open offices in Qatar and Saudi Arabia are already moving forward and it has also secured new orders for next year in Russia and the UK.
Some of the projects the company has been involved with include the Capital Gate Tower, Burj Dubai, Nuevo Latino Restaurant in DIFC, Sezzam Restaurant at Mall of the Emirates, UAE, Djibouti Palace Hotel in Denmark, Best Western Regency - Abbotsford Canada, The Hyde Hotel in London and Holiday Inn Houston.
Established in 1994, the company owns and operates three purpose-built factories in Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai employing 700 craftsmen with approximately 250,000 sq ft of space dedicated to the manufacture and supply of high-quality joinery products, loose and fitted bedroom case furniture, bespoke upholstery, metalwork, glass, and gypsum-based products.
In addition to executing furnishing projects worldwide, Interiors International has recently developed ranges of standard contract furniture, suitable for use in hotels ranging from budget to luxury.
Besides the manufacturing facilities based in Dubai, the company has fully operational offices in London (UK), Vancouver (Canada) and Atlanta (USA).
“In the last 12 months our company has been one of the first companies in the Gulf region to be awarded full FSC and PEFC status, with an operational bias towards quality control systems and documented procedures to enable our projects to be carefully planned, and controlled,” says Meikle.
“Our continuous development in this area has been driven by our clients’ increasing requirement for supply partnerships as an extension to their existing facilities, where a more structured and service-orientated factory-based facility is required. We have strengthened our project management, in-house operations team and health and safety team and offer a full service of manufacture, supply, and installation anywhere in the world.”
