The latest products reflect ABB’s commitment to innovation

ABB Limited will be showcasing its vast offering for oil and gas applications at Offshore Europe 2009 (September 8 – 11) in Aberdeen, Scotland.

A key feature of the stand will be ABB’s System 800xA advanced process control system. The system offers a comprehensive range of control functions as well as the ability for offshore operators to gather and integrate management information for improving the efficiency and productivity of their facilities.
Also on display will be ABB’s latest SIL3 rated safety system. Based on over 30 years experience, the system offers a wealth of features aimed at ensuring the total safety of processes and operatives.
ABB’s medium voltage drives business will be using the show to introduce the new ACS2000 air-cooled general purpose AC drive. The ACS2000 provides simple and reliable motor control for a wide range of applications within the oil & gas sector such as pumps, fans and compressors. It is designed for easy installation, fast commissioning and efficient maintenance, reducing the total cost of ownership.
The line-up includes examples of ABB’s low voltage AC motors for hazardous areas. Suitable for variable speed drives, these motors comply with all the relevant standards and protection types used in the oil and gas industry.
Also on display will be ABB’s MNS 3.0 range of fully type-tested modular Motor Control Centres. ABB’s instrumentation business will be showing the latest examples of its Differential Pressure (DP) flow meters, widely used in oil and gas applications worldwide. Specific products from ABB’s DP flow range on show will be the new OriMaster and Torbar flowmeters, plus examples of its subsea meters.
Other products from ABB’s vast instrumentation range will include field devices for measuring and monitoring temperature and pressure, plus process recorders and controllers.
