The E max showroom in Bahrain, one of Al Riyadh’s projects

General contractor Al Riyadh Group successfully undertook a major interior fitout at the new Bahrain Prism Glass Factory (BPGF) in Hidd.

The company was assigned to install gypsum and grid ceilings, gypsum partitions, wooden windows and glass and accomplish wood skirting, casing and sound proofing.
Managing director Anand said Australian Boral gypsum plasterboards were used for ceilings on BPGF’s ground and first floors, the lobby and passage areas with UK-imported channels and angles
For the ceiling grid, Al Riyadh used top-grade Boral plasterboard vinyl panels, with galvanized iron tees and channels. The work covered the entire ground floor of the office and the first floor.
Boral water-resistant gypsum sheets were used for partitions on the first floor of the office.
The company used Red Mirandi wood for windows with wood primer finish. Red Mirandi was also used for skirting and casing.
Among the inputs for the interior décor were tempered Georgian wire glass, float glass with aluminium spacer work and clear, tempered glass.
The company also installed sound-proof insulation.
“The job was very extensive. We concentrated on all the office areas, rest rooms, the reception area, the lobby and a number of rooms including those for the managing director and managers,” said Anand.
As well as interior fitouts, Al Riyadh takes contracts in mechanical, civil and electrical fields, offers aluminium products and rolling shutters and builds and erects telecommunication towers.
It fabricates and instals medium-to-heavy structures for factories and warehouses, manufactures steel doors and fire-rated doors and undertakes the erection and commissioning of sprinklers and other fire fighting devices.
In the civil works field, it constructs offices, factories and warehouses and undertakes civil maintenance jobs.
The only other work in a factory that it was commissioned to do in the past two years was the construction of an expansion at a readymix concrete plant, says Anand.

“You may say we start with the skeleton and flesh it out for a total transformation.
“This year we completed more than 25 jobs for interiors of retail outlets at Bahrain City Centre for various clients.”
Al Riyadh has won orders for interior revamps from leading hospitals, among them Salmaniya, Bahrain Specialist Hospital and BDF Hospital.
It is currently involved in supplying and installing rolling shutters at Centre Point Mall in Riffa and in sprucing up several retail outlets at Bahrain City Centre. Work is also ongoing at Bahrain Specialist Hospital.
