Dubai-based GAC Group has opened a new sales office to meet growing demands for logistics services in Poland.
The office is located in the centre of the capital at the airfreight hub of Poland and joins GAC’s two existing bases in Poland which provide essential sea freight connections from the ports of Szczecin and Gdynia.
“Poland accounts for a massive 22 per cent of business in Central and Eastern Europe and its GDP is one of the fastest growing in Europe and forecast to rise by almost 4 per cent, which is unusual in the current climate,” said Gunnar Lundgren, regional logistics manager.
“In a country of 38 million people enjoying improving standards of living, demand for imported goods such as cars and home furnishings is higher than ever, as is the need for reliable logistics services. Additionally, Poland’s substantial exports of clothing and foods mean there’s lots of freight moving in both directions.”
The new Warsaw office is headed by industry veteran Jaroslaw Kasprzyk, the sales manager for GAC Poland.
Since its establishment by Swedish transport interests in 1956, GAC has grown to become a leading global provider of shipping, logistics, marine and related services.
