Equipment at the Metals of Bahrain plant

Metals of Bahrain is a module industrial centre established in Bahrain in 1992 with the aim of producing engineered non-ferrous castings and components for the industrial community around the world.

“Manufacturers of pumps, valves, hydraulic power transmission and waterline fittings have been our trade partners for the past 15 years,” a company spokesman says.  In 2003, it launched its latest production line for casting bronze and steel alloys.
The no-bake casting line uses the latest technology for metal casting.
Metals of Bahrain alloys include heat resistant (steel and iron); wear-resistant (steel and bronze); corrosion resistant (steel and bronze); pressure tight (steel, iron and bronze); impact resistant (steel); general applications (steel, iron and bronze).
The company offers other grades on request.
The company’s equipment, facilities and processes include an inductotherm dual track furnace; a pattern/tool room; cold box core shooting; a self-set no-bake system; a heat treatment furnace with quenching tank; an ARL spectrometer; non-destru-ctive testing; microstructure examination; a sand lab; nickel chrome plating, tensile testing and hardness testing.
The equipment and processes also cover Wickman multispindle lathes; a steel pallet shotblast chamber; a pneumatic glass beads blast; a CNC machining centre; a CNC vertical machine and batch machining.
The product range comprises copper-based casting, phosphorous bronze, zincless bronze, aluminium bronze and silicon bronze.
