Among key projects it has undertaken and handed over are the turnkey retail project for Dasman Centre, one of the leading hypermarkets in Qatar which spreads across 17,000 sq m, and the steel erection of the General Electric power plant built for the Qatar Electricity and Water Company at Ras Abu Fontas – one of the largest power plants in the country which spreads over 5,600 sq m.
Amana has also ventured into the logistics sector by building a cold store complex for Gulf Warehousing Company in Doha which is spread across 25,000 sq m and accomplished in less than 14 months. The company was also instrumental in constructing a cold store for the Public Warehousing Company in Doha. The facility, spread over 11,000 sq m, was awarded on a design-build basis.
Amana Doha recently handed over the Qatar International Exhibition Centre, built across 30,000 sq m. The project, performed on a fast-track basis, was completed in 16 months. The company is currently building the Logistics Terminal for a linear low density polyethylene unit of capacity 450,000 tonnes at the Mesaieed Industrial City in Qatar. It will feature a logistics platform of 56,000 sq m, the largest of its type in the region. This project was secured as a design and build contract.
