GEHL, one of the world's leading manufacturers of skid steer loaders for over 27 years, has announced a new co-operation with Middle East Development Company (Medco) in Saudi Arabia. GEHL, headquartered in the US and Germany, has designated Medco to handle sales of its skid loader range including six models - the SL1625, SL3825, SL4635, SL4835, SL5635 and SL6635 - of between 1.3 and 3.4 tonnes and power output of between 21 and 80HP.

An important feature of the models is the hydraulic power of the workhorses. In the highflow version, the big GEHL SL6635 offers a hydraulic flow rate of 136 1/min at 200 bar fully reversible for forward and reversing of oil flow which is important for attachments working in both directions such as earth augers, trencher equipment and cold planers.

With its two speed option, the SL 6635 can match a top speed of 20km/h. The performance of GEHL loaders make them ideal for use in road construction, tunnel environments and landscaping as well as in agricultural applications.

The general features plus the complete tiltable operator's cabin provide quick and safe access to these components for daily inspection, service and repairs. For extra precaution, all lift and tilt cylinder rods from the GEHL 35 series have been made of NIRTO-STEEL design. This innovative hardening process produces a black rod that is hardened and more resistant to damage and corrosion. The GEHL ergonomic T-bar controls, power-assisted steering and a long wheelbase provide added comfort to the driver.

GEHL skid loaders are already well accepted in the Kingdom. In addition, Medco offers a complete range of articulated loaders from GEHL GmbH, Germany, with capacities between 16 and 47HP. The machinery is completely new in Saudi Arabia, rapidly growing in Europe and offered only by Medco in the country.
