Two high-profile speakers will attend Power-Gen Middle East, an exhibition and conference event that will be held later this month (January).

Lothar Balling, vice president, steam power plants and emerging plant solution business at Siemens Power Generation, will make the opening presentation at a new session entitled, "Regional and global market power markets - The leading international players' perspective."
Siemens Power Generation is one of the world's leading specialists in planning, construction and upgrades of power plants; development, production and supply of components and systems; comprehensive plant services, I&C solutions and energy management systems; fuel cells, turbines, compressors and full-scope solutions for industrial plants, in particular for the oil and gas business.
Richard Maali, commercial director of Ansaldo Energia, will be also joining the new conference session.
Ansaldo Energia is a global power generation player with an extensive offering of products and services, more than100 years of power generation experience and an installed capacity exceeding 164,500 MW in over 90 countries. Power-Gen ME will be held from January 22 to 24 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.
The two will share their perspectives on the state of the power market development in the region in the context of electricity market activity elsewhere in the world.
These and other international speakers will discuss a range of topics, looking at both strategic opportunities and technical issues.

Power-Gen ME, which will deal with power generation and transmission and distribution, takes place at a time when the region is experience great economic growth and the demand for power and energy is on the upswing.
More than 100 exhibitors will be showcasing their products and technologies and interfacing with officials of government and private sector companies shopping to meet requirements in their organisations. The event is expected to attract more than 4,000 visitors from over 50 countries.
