Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe has extended the options available in its Fasson Void labelstocks range — part of the Fasson Specialty portfolio — to allow greater customisation for customers.
”We can offer real technical competence and the right level of service to meet converters’ needs for personalised ‘void’ images and bespoke security labelling options,” says market development manager Brian Oost, and this product diversity is available to Fasson customers, in many cases, in minimum order quantities as small as 500 sq m.
A ‘void’ label simply leaves a ‘void’ message on a substrate when the label is removed. Typical applications for these products are tamper-evident labels or seals to indicate the premature opening of perishable food products, electronics components, packaging for high-value retail items, and pharmaceutical packaging.
Increased awareness of security issues has led to increasing demand for tamper-evident seals from an ever greater range of industries, which is why Avery Dennison Roll Materials Europe have developed this wider range of options. Fasson PET films – matt or gloss – can now be supplied with a standard or personalised ‘void’ message in a choice of white, black, silver, red, blue, and yellow/blue colours.
Even a transparent quality is available. Fasson PET void check matt chrome, which displays a chequerboard image, is UL-approved for use on durable goods; and all the products can be printed conventionally and/or by thermal transfer or laser.
A special feature of the Fasson Void range is the ability to specify a customer’s own personal ‘void’ message (with design exclusivity and confidentiality additionally offered if required); and this, coupled with the choice of available colours, makes creating eye-catching tamper-evident seals less of a challenge for both printer and end user.
“It is theft and shrinkage in the distribution and sales channels that have led brand owners and sales outlets to look for tamper-evident labels as packaging seals,” explains Brian Oost.
“I feel that we have doubled our ability to answer specific needs with this new development,” he adds.
