Profiles RHF, which specialises in the design, fabrication, supply and erection of pre-engineered steel buildings, expects to reach Dh280 million ($76.24 million) in sales turnover this year, which will be a 40 per cent increase over 2005.

Sales manager Fadi Majzoub says the company is expanding its aluminium rolling mill and has announced plans to expand its steel fabrication facility. Once operational, Profiles’ capacity for pre-engineered steel buildings will increase from 9,000 tonnes per year (tpy) to 20,000 tpy. Its aluminium rolling mill, which currently manufactures 36,500 tpy, will have the capacity to manufacture 70,000 tpy of aluminium coils.
Majzoub says the expansion will be commissioned by autumn. “For cladding, plant capacity will nearly double from the current 3.3 million sq m a year to 6 million sq m a year,” he continues.
Majzoub notes that Profiles has enjoyed a steady growth since its establishment in 1991.
“Business was good in 2005 and we are looking forward to a better turnover this year,” he says.
Its recent achievements include two fast-track projects: 25 sheds for Al Rawda Poultry Farms and a 400,000 sq ft project for Liberty Investment, which also included 96 warehouses. 
Profiles’ product range includes structural steel, Z/C purlins, roofing sheets, polyurethane insulated panels, flashing and trims to complete a warehouse, factory, shopping mall and sports/recreation club.
The company also specialises in skid-mounted refrigerated containers, cold stores and portakabins. Another division manufactures aluminum coils for industrial use and Polykraft insulated aluminum coils for petrochemical industries.
Majzoub says design and fabrication takes place according to international standards employing state-of-the-art technologies.
“Keeping commitments of quality, prompt delivery, and after-sales service, along with determination of the company’s owners, has led to an increase in the number of employees, which now stands at more than 1,100,” he adds. “Our production facilities occupy more than 670,000 sq ft.”
The company’s sales team covers the entire Arab world, as well as Africa, Asia and North America.
“Having all such activities under one roof makes us a leader, putting us in a unique position in the steel construction world,” he remarks. “Research and development, side by side with planning and expansion, ensure that such a position will be maintained in the future.”
