To foster the Gulf’s construction boom, Haroon Company is expanding its operations in the UAE by opening more showrooms.
The company is one of the leading suppliers of complete/integrated electronic and mechanical security solutions.
General manager Mrs Saba Zaidi says Haroon’s aim is not to merely be a product trendsetter, but to play the multi-dimensional role of a consultant, partner and supplier to the industry.
“Our objective is to provide the best quality and service at affordable prices in order to be a supplier of choice,” she adds.
Zaidi says that in the past, architectural ironmongery was a field in the building industry, which often was underrated.
“With the current focus on real estate and the trend to construct luxury buildings, there is a big demand for hardware that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional,” she explains. “This field is gaining importance in the industry due to the complex performance requirements of modern building design.”
Haroon was established 25 years ago with the aim of servicing the construction sector as professional architectural ironmongers, providing complete and coordinated high-quality hardware packages for doors, as well as door-control systems, locking devices and hand railing systems.
The company attributes its success in the UAE market to its commitment towards a quality product range at competitive prices. To keep pace with the latest developments in the field, Haroon aims to provide total solutions by combining mechanical and electronic security to meet the market’s growing demand and evolving needs.
Its product range includes hardware for commercial buildings, decorative residential hardware, life-safety and panic hardware, detention hardware, cabinet/wardrobe hardware, key cabinets, first aid boxes, mail boxes, electronic access control, electronic hotel locking systems, guest room safes, handrails, balustrades in stainless steel and nylon, sliding/folding gear, bathroom accessories and fittings for the disabled.
The brands marketed and distributed by Haroon include some of the best-known names in the hardware industry whose product range not only conforms to established performance standards, but also fulfils the aesthetic demands of today’s architects and interior designers. These include Onity (formerly Tesa entry system), Briton (formerly Newman-Tonks), Southern-Steel, Normbau, Kafli, FCV, Frascio, Devon and Henderson.
The company has offices and showrooms in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi with extensive warehousing facilities. Plans are underway to open more showrooms and retail outlets, particularly in Dubai.
Over the years the company has supplied hardware packages to palaces, hotels, hospitals, shopping complexes, commercial and residential buildings, sports complexes, airports, golf courses, banks, schools, defence and labour camps.
Some of the prestigious projects include National Bank of Dubai Headquarters building, Dubai Metal Commodities Centre Industrial Building, seven towers at Dubai Marina, Fairmont Hotel, Deira City Centre Hotel and Residence and Jumeirah Islands project.
