UAE-based Haris Al Afaq has recently launched a new version of Fluke digital multi-meter - Fluke 87V-Ex – which is the intrinsically safe version of one of the most popular meters in the world, the Fluke 87V.
Giving details of the new version, a spokesman of Haris Al Afaq says: “The Atex-certified Fluke 87V-Ex is the perfect, single-tool solution for use in potentially explosive environments – specifically designed for use in industries such as oil exploration and refining, and petrochemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing as well as other hazardous environments where the release of excessive static electricity, sparks or mechanical friction could cause ignition of flammable gas, vapur or material.”
The product can be used both inside and outside the hazardous zone without compromising performance or compliance.
The Fluke 87V-Ex multi-meter incorporates advanced circuitry for taking accurate voltage and frequency measurements on variable speed motor drives and other electrically noisy equipment.
It is also equipped with a built-in thermometer and features large display digits and a bright white backlight for easy reading in low-light environments. A magnetic hanger enables technicians to temporary snap the tool onto steel panels where it is easily accessible, freeing their hands for other tasks.
The 87 V-Ex is an addition to Fluke’s growing line of products that have been certified as intrinsically safe. These include the Fluke 707 Ex intrinsically safe loop calibrator, Fluke 718 Ex intrinsically safe pressure calibrator and Fluke 725 Ex intrinsically safe multi-function process calibrator.
Haris Al Afaq started operations in the UAE in 1968. The name “Haris Al Afaq” in Arabic means “Guardian of the Horizon” and the mission of the company is to seek out the customer, determine his needs and provide a complete, reliable and efficient solution incorporating products and services.
This includes acting as agents, stockiest, distributors, traders and financiers depending on the needs of the customers or markets.
