A major exhibition is being in planned in Dubai to help women learn more about the latest industry trends in fashion, beauty and jewellery.
The Bride Show Dubai 2006 will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 4 to 7.
Organisers described it as the Middle East’s largest and most distinguished exhibition bringing together women, brides-to-be and their families, wedding day organisers and exhibitors from the wedding industry. The four-day event brings together a complete range of wedding services, beauty, fashion and homeware under a single roof. Officials say the bridal industry in the Middle East continues to grow at an unprecedented 20 per cent per annum. Last year, the show attracted over 20,000 visitors.
The consumer spending power in the region is the highest in the world, which has contributed to the success of The Bride Show Dubai over the years. The products that will be available at the the expo include bridal gowns and accessories, henna dresses, evening wear, groom’s wear, jewellery, beauty and hair services and products, and textiles. A host of wedding services such as hotels and venues, wedding organisers, sound, light and entertainment, photography and video production, floral and stage design, wedding stationery, gifts, catering services, financial services and home furnishings will also be exhibit at the show.
“The Bride Show, which has been running for the past eight years, also serves as an ideal platform for exhibitors to push consumer driven immediate sales directly from the stand, to meet face to face with their existing clients and customers, and to create public awareness for products and services,” said event manager Charlotte Proudman.
“The UAE is one of the most affluent markets in the world, where weddings are a very important and extravagant occasion,” she pointed out.
“Over the years, the show has grown in significance and popularity, attracting a large number of women, looking to choose from a wide range of high quality items and services to make their wedding truly memorable.”
Organised by the Institute for International Research (IIR), The Bride Show Dubai 2006 presents an opportunity for women, prospective brides and their families to meet hundreds of suppliers showcasing everything from wedding gowns, international couture fashions, beauty and hair, wedding organisers, wedding venues, honeymoon destinations and more.
“The show draws women from the UAE, GCC states and the neighbouring countries who are interested in the latest in bridal costumes and evening wear, traditional and ethnic fashion, jewellery and accessories, beauty products, gifts and home furnishings,” said the event manager. The show is jointly endorsed by Dubai’s upscale mall, the BurJuman Centre; Dubai Ladies Club, traditional clothes retailer Abu Haleequ, Swarovski, Eternity Jewels, Lynx and Shattaf Jewellers.
