Security company HPS, already a supplier of integrated solutions to the UAE’s police departments in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, hopes to expand its client list with the opening recently of a branch office in Sharjah to serve the northern Emirates.

HPS, part of the Citytec Group, insists it deals only with security-related products and therefore is able to devote its full attention to providing security solutions.
It has introduced to the UAE market high-tech and cost-effective products including GSP/GSM vehicle tracking systems and network access control systems for banks.
“We are the largest company solely marketing, installing and servicing security products in the UAE with over 1,500 satisfied customers,” a company spokesman says.
“We don’t deal in anything other than security-related products such as security alarms, access control, perimeter security, CCTV, covert systems, automatic barriers and gates and anti-shoplifting equipment.
“HPS engineers and technicians are fully trained on all our products, and all products come within a minimum one-year warranty.”  Within that period, if any malfunctions, HPS will replace it immediately free of charge within the same day. After the warranty the client is encouraged to take out a maintenance contract which enables him to get complete service at all times and saves him major expenses and inconvenience that would arise from a lack of maintenance, says the spokesman.
The company offers design consultancy, system design, supervision, installation and commissioning together with hand over and customer training.
“Our active business model combined with customers feedback ensures that the best and most effective solutions are always available to the UAE market, backed up with effective sales and customer support,” the spokesman says.
HPS monitoring services are offered in association with Citytec and in co-operation with the local police and civil defence.
The company has one of the largest teams of service engineers in the UAE and offers special packages with reduced rates as incentives for customers who take two or three ears’ contracts.
HPS’ main areas of operation are: central monitoring, installation and maintenance for the police forces of Dubai and Ajman; monitoring and installation at the Dubai and Sharjah civil defence forces; design, installation and maintenance of integrated and stand alone security alarm systems and CCTV surveillance and covert systems; supply, installation and maintenance of the Dubai Police radio and land line monitoring for fire, security and intrusion and emergency systems; design, installation and maintenance of automatic barriers and gates as well as ground and fencing detection systems; supply and installation and maintenance of fire communication systems for the Jebel Ali Free Zone fire monitoring system and the supply, installation and maintenance of electronic article detection systems.
HPS’ CCTV systems include black and white cameras, colour cameras and high and low resolution cameras; bullet, dome, recessed and covert cameras; multiplex video recorders, mass storage DSR recorders and accessories; network solutions for banks or multiple site operators; remote XCCTV systems and wireless cameras.
The company offers standalone or fully integrated access control systems. New technology for access control prevents unauthorised access via lost or stolen cards by checking fingerprint IDs. HPS has a wide range of biometric products including those related to fingerprints, face recognition and eye scan.
The product range includes various designs for metal detectors and anti-shop lifting detectors that blend in with the environment plus a range of product tags for protecting a variety of merchandise including CDs, video tapes and books.
Metal detectors for security and screening applications, hand held and walk through are among the products offered.
The security services include door phone/door entry systems; residential and commercial intercom systems; black and white or colour viewers, which are also available with a 32-picture memory, as well as a range of intercom/door entry systems for large complexes or residential towers.
