The Suzuki Grand Vitara

Suzuki has reported a 40 per cent growth in sales in the UAE in 2004 over last year.

“UAE consumers have begun accepting the Suzuki brand as a premium Japanese make offering the same quality and reliability as any other Japanese automobile,” said Marwan Al Rostamani, general manager of Al Rostamani Trading Company, the sole distributor for the car maker in the country.
“The SUV Grand Vitara is the star performer with a 75 per cent growth over 2003.  It enjoys legendary status and was one of the first small SUVs produced. The Grand Vitara’s availability in a variety of engine types and as a three-door and five-door 4x4 vehicle made it the best choice for customers.”
Suzuki now offers a total of six models including passenger cars Ignis and Liana, SUVs such as Jimny, Grand Vitara and XL-7 and a commercial vehicle in the shape of a compact van called Carry.
The Suzuki Liana is available as a sedan and a station wagon while the SUV range has six different body types of three-door and five-door 4x4s that offer seating capacities from four persons to seven and engine capacities from 1.3L to V6 2.7L.
