A decade since it was established, Middle East Specialised Cables Company (MESC) has succeeding in obtaining approval as supplier from government departments, winning also contracts from prestigious regional and international organisations.

The country counts on product specialisation and custom manufacture and achieving and maintaining international manufacturing standards. A feature of the company’s marketing activities is that its products have found buyers in sophisticated markets including France and the USA.

MESC is proud of its extensive product range of specialised instrumentation, thermocouple extension and fire alarm cables. It also makes fire-resistant cables that are suitable for up to 1,200C.  The company’s products cover LV power and control, co-axial, data transmission, rubber, flexible and system cables. Also within the product list are building management, nurse-call, telephone, building wires and lead-sheathed cables as well as UTP-LAN cables, and many other types of cables that meet customers’ and projects’ specific requirements.

“Established in the year 1993, MESC has achieved in the short span of 10 years a steady growth in its operations and has earned a reputation for itself as a quality manufacturer of cables in the Middle East,” said strategy and market development manager Varouj Jamgossian. He emphasised that the plant could not only manufacture listed products, but also had the flexibility to enhance the product range/categories to meet specific demands of customers.

“Additionally, highly experienced and competent managers, engineers and technicians manning the quality and research departments are continuously working for the improvement of quality and for identifying new products in line with the development of new technologies,” Jamgossian said.

“MESC product cables are manufactured to relevant international standards and are certified by prestigious institutions like the Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation (SASO) and ISO 9001:2000. Also, third party tests have been carried out and tested by well-known testing institutes such as UL (USA), BS (UK), IMQ (Italy), VDE(Germany), CSA (Canada), KEMA (Netherlands), 3P (Denmark), Warrington Fire Research (UK) and Cable Technology Laboratories Inc (USA),” the official added.

“Associated with almost all major projects in Saudi Arabia, MESC has exported its cables to many countries such as the other GCC states, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Jordan, France, Holland, Switzerland and USA, among other markets,” said Jamgossian.
Jamgossian said the company had mutually beneficial business associations with many world-renowned multinational contractors by working with them in their projects in Saudi Arabia  and other Middle Eastern countries. Now the MESC sales team was keen to expand that association by meeting the cable requirements of projects in other countries. MESC is an approved vendor to a large number of ministries/departments in different countries who are clients of various projects being handled by multi-national corporations, the official said.
