Euroexpotech's parent company Milad used to import promotional display and exhibition systems from the UK and the US, but in November of 2002, Euroexpotech entered the proud ranks of manufacturers and has since been producing and supplying the same material for organisations in Bahrain and overseas.

The company has a production centre at the Bahrain Business Incubator Centre in Hidd, one of three places it operates from, the other two being a workshop in Hamad town and a marketing and servicing centre in Sanabis, Manama.

The day the incubator was officially opened by Bahraini Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa in late April proved particularly auspicious for Euroexpotech as it gained four prestigious contracts for presentation material and exhibition stands from GPIC, Batelco, Al Zamil and Abu Kamal.

The company designs display panels for companies and employs artwork staff, engineers and labourers. The panels are made of aluminium or plastic boards. Aluminium is available in Bahrain itself, while the plastic comes from Saudi Arabia and Germany. For pavilions and stands, it uses mainly aluminium and formica, the latter sourced in Italy, Malaysia and India

The promoters of Euroexpotech have traversed a long road to manufacturing. Milad had been importing material from 1989, gaining an impressive list of clients. When it began making the boards and stands on its own, its clients continued to repose their trust in the company. From November 2002, when it embarked on its production venture, its client list has been studded with such names as Aramco, Amiantit, Sabic and Hadeed of Saudi Arabia, Image Marketing, Oman, and Batelco of Bahrain.

Managing director Ibrahim Al Saati exudes: "This is our own system, our copyright. One of our strengths is custom-made products. We seek to meet the precise requirements of our customers, understand their needs, present suitable ideas and work with them in earnest to crystallise these ideas into tangible reality." For panelling systems, Euroexotech has to compete with 10 other producers in Bahrain itself.

The company makes 10 different panelling systems including three kinds of 'pop-up' products and its own branded products going by the names of Rollex, Aradex, Sign-up, Cadre, Menufix, Flex-up, Infosets and Infoboard. Most popular are Rollex and the pop-up products.

The company describes Rollex as a freestanding portable banner display system. It is marketed as a silver anodised aluminium structure with standard height at 2,000 to 2,100mm, standard width at 850mm and non-standard widths of 600mm and 1,000mm. The system is promoted as being easy to carry and erect and also easy to change graphics. The pop-up structures are available in curved or straight shape and can be set up in three minutes. The system, which the company says meets European standards, allows addition of structures if the need arises.

Paradex is described as a cost effective solution, having a standard height of 2,000mm and standard widths of 600mm, 850mm and 1,000mm.

The company has already invested nearly $600,000 including a Bahrain Development Bank loan. The incubator will prove a great money saver as it charges a low rent, enjoys a convenient location and provides ample storage area.
