Metal Work Company has gained fame as one of the region's prominent truck bodybuilding and hydraulic equipment manufacturing companies.

The company, which has an annual turnover of SR35 million, announced it is now engaged in producing more than 200 Mercedes fire fighting trucks for civil defence.

The Jeddah-based company was established in 1977 and has its factory, administration offices, warehouses and workers' quarters on Al Malik Obhor Road on premises of 60,000 sq m. As a maker and supplier of hydraulic equipment, particularly that required by cleaning organisations, its operations have an impact on the day-to-day well-being of millions of people. Metal Work Company's cleaning equipment is being used in all the major cities of Saudi Arabia and in the towns. A number of cities across the Middle East region are also acquainted with the company's products.

Metal Work was established with an authorised capital of SR23.3 million and with a totally paid up capital of SR18 million. The company has identified itself with Saudi Arabia's development programme and has from time to time expanded its production facilities and upgraded its equipment. It has also fulfilled the quality standards required of a company having its kind of operations. The modernisation of production involves not only the introduction of the latest equipment but also providing the necessary computer support. The technical drawings and specifications are done by the autocad computer system with the aim of achieving optimum operations performance of the equipment that the company produces.

Metal Work's product range includes refuse compactors, jetting tanks, wreckers, fire trucks, flatbed semi-trailers, aerial platforms, bin-washing tanks, semi trailers, water and fuel tanks, vacuum tanks, stationary refuse compactors and load luggers.

The company's main customers are truck agents in Saudi Arabia such as Mitsubishi, Mercedes, MAN, Nisan, Hino, Isuzu, Scania and Volvo.
