Officials signing the agreement to set up a logistics complex in Khazaen Economic City in Oman
After expanding its footprint in the US, Asia and Europe, Naqel Express, one of the largest express logistics providers in Saudi Arabia, aims to establish its leadership position in the Middle East region.
With continued expansion across all the Gulf countries including the UAE, Bahrain, and Jordan and Egypt since 2016, Naqel is now gearing up for accelerated growth in the region by offering last mile services to its customers in other key Gulf countries.
In 2022, Naqel plans to set up its full-fledged delivery operations in Qatar, Iraq and Kuwait in order to facilitate smooth trading and delivery of door-to-door shipments in these vital markets, the company said.
“In 2022, we will continue to pursue our ‘customer first’ philosophy by developing our people and network and by creating innovative solutions to meet specific logistics needs of our customers in the Gulf countries,” Naqel Express Acting CEO Adnan Al Mazrooa said.
In order to facilitate smooth delivery of shipments to both individual shoppers and businesses in the GCC countries and rest of the Middle East, Naqel continues to build its delivery operations in all the major markets.
The leading logistics supply chain solutions provider, last month, broadened its horizons in the region by establishing a logistics complex in Oman. The company concluded a deal to set up a warehouse at Khazaen Economic City (KEC), as part of the agreements signed between Saudi and Omani companies, coinciding with the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense to the sultanate.
Also, since 2016, Naqel has extended its delivery operations in the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan and Egypt. The company has set up its own clearance and gateway facilities at King Fahad Causeway in Bahrain and in the Cairo International Airport in Egypt. Currently, Naqel is offering market leading final mile delivery services to the world’s major retailers to fulfill the needs of online shoppers in the key GCC markets.
Naqel Express has already established itself as the largest express logistics company in Saudi Arabia with over 5000 employees and over 4000 vehicles operating in the remotest locations of the Kingdom. Since 2016, the company has invested over SR500 million ($133 million) in developing its facilities at key airports of Saudi Arabia: King Fahd International Airport (KFIA), Dammam, King Khalid International Airport (KKIA), Riyadh and King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA), Jeddah. Besides, it has extended its road network to all the GCC Countries in order to facilitate express movements of parcels and FTL (Full Truck Load) shipments within those countries.
