Aramex appoints new chief operating officer

Aramex, a leading global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions, has announced the appointment of Thomas Kipp as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Kipp brings over 25 years of experience across Logistics, e-Commerce and Management Consulting in Europe, Asia and North America. As part of the senior leadership team, Kipp will be responsible for overseeing Aramex’s global operations, business development, improving operational efficiencies and championing crucial process improvements.

Kipp joins Aramex after spending nearly 15 years with Deutsche Post DHL Group (DPDHL), where most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President for Corporate Incubations and led the development of new business models outside the company’s core business.

Citrix names new country manager for Saudi Arabia

Citrix Systems, has announced the appointment of Mohammed Kiki as Country Manager in Saudi Arabia.

With almost two decades experience in sales management, business development, and strategic planning within Saudi Arabia, he will drive the acceleration to cloud of customer environments in the country to enable both business continuity and business transformation to new work models, such as remote working. He reports to Taj El-Khayat, regional director, Middle East and North Africa (Mena) at Citrix and will be based in Riyadh.

“At a time when the world is transitioning due to the new virtual world and the new remote workspace, it is a great opportunity to join the Citrix team,” said Kiki.

Kiki has significant technical and sales expertise in both software and hardware fields, as well as deep understanding of the kingdom’s private and public sectors. He joins Citrix from Oracle.

EnerMech appoints QHSE Director

EnerMech has named James Cassin to the newly created role of QHSE Director as the integrated solutions specialist pushes a quality-driven agenda across its global business.

EnerMech is a global provider of integrated services to the energy, renewables and petrochemical industries, employing more than 3000 staff across 40 locations in the UK, Norway, the Middle East, Caspian, Asia, Africa, Australia and Americas.

Previously Cassin was Vice President HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality) for SNC-Lavalin’s Oil and Gas division and he has an extensive track record working in the oil and gas infrastructure, construction and engineering sectors.

His remit is to lead on all quality, health, safety and environmental aspects of EnerMech’s business. He will also strengthen and improve the company’s robust Integrated Management System (IMS).

Cassin will be based in the Middle East, where EnerMech has ambitious growth plans. EnerMech Chief Executive Officer, Christian Brown, said: “James has all the attributes for maintaining and improving our strong QHSE record and bolstering our IMS procedures and this new position indicates the importance we place on quality.”

Schneider Electric names VP for Saudi Secure Power unit

Schneider Electric has appointed Mohammed Khader Faraj as Vice President for the company’s Secure Power division in Saudi Arabia. Faraj, who is a Saudi national and is currently the company’s Vice President for Digital Energy, will now also lead the company’s data centre business.

An electrical engineering graduate of King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals and a holder of an MBA from Grenoble University, Faraj joined Schneider Electric fifteen years back as a sales engineer. He has taken on several positions, including regional director for the Western and Southern regions and the national Sales Director for Saudi.

Faraj was promoted to Vice President for Digital Energy in October 2017. This second promotion will see him oversee the Secure Power division’s Saudi-wide channel network of partners for integrated IT architecture that is used in data centres worldwide.

“Mohammed has been with us for a decade and a half, and he’s proven his ability in every role he has had,” said Najib Al-Naim, Chairman, Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia.

“He’s an example of the talent that we have in this country, and we all expect that he will do exceptionally well in this new role for our Secure Power business unit.”
