Swisslog, a global leader in robotic, data-driven and flexible automated solutions, will introduce highly efficient robotised storage and order processing solutions for small parts and pallets, at an event to be held this month in Dubai, UAE.

Swisslog will participate in the Materials Handling Middle East (MHME), the region’s dedicated trade show for warehousing, intralogistics and supply chain solutions, to be held from September 3 to 5.

Alain Kaddoum, general manager, Swisslog Middle East, said: “Several businesses in the UAE and globally have benefitted immensely from logistics automation and, particularly in the Middle East, we are seeing increasing demand for automated logistics solutions in industries ranging from e-commerce and retail, to F&B and pharma.”

“While automated picking and packing has been around for a while, the next wave of change is being brought about by robotics. A warehouse that deploys robots reduces costs significantly while boosting efficiency,” he added.

Solutions being introduced include CarryPick, a flexible and modular AGV-based storage and order picking system designed for multi-channel intralogistics that can fulfil up to 20 orders simultaneously, said a statement from the company.

The system adapts to changing customer demands, so businesses have the option of starting small and then expanding flexibly in line with growing volumes by adding more vehicles.

Swisslog will also give some insights for AutoStore, a highly efficient robotised storage and order processing solution for small parts that integrates easily into existing buildings.

AutoStore uses robots and bins to quickly process small parts orders and provides better use of available space than any other automated system available today.
