Al Hathboor Electricals, sole distributor and marketing representative in the country of Legrand products, opened its customer centre in Dubai in early February. The event coincided with the Middle East Electricity Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Legrand Group managing director Gilles Schnepp attended both events.

The 400 sq m two-storey Al Hathboor-Legrand Customer Centre is the only one of its kind in the UAE. Customers who have purchased Legrand fittings or accessories can send their technicians from the Middle East, Iran and the sub-continent to the centre to receive hands-on training on the first floor.

Al Hathboor Chemicals managing director Abdulla Saif Al Hathboor said the exhibition provided a great opportunity to view existing and soon-to-be-introduced Legrand products at the 1,700 sq ft pavilion his company put up jointly with the European giant.

Legrand, one of the world's leading manufacturers of low voltage electrical installation products, was among the major exhibitors at the exhibition. Featured were its installation products used in industrial, commercial, health-care and residential projects including circuit breakers, distribution cabinets and enclosures, wiring accessories, emergency lighting and security systems and cable management products.

The company provides total solutions in the areas of low-voltage electrical applications to meet almost the entire needs of those working in the field of electrical industry. Legrand's fittings and accessories have been used in several major projects in the UAE and the rest of the Gulf including the residential complex at Dubai Internet City, the Holiday Inn-Bur Dubai, the Skywalk Tower, the Abu Dhabi Trade Centre and the Al Faisaliah Tower in Riyadh.
