Labtec recently participated in a local event with an eye on attracting further international interest in its laboratory furniture and lifting its market share in the UAE.
The company, a leading regional player in the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of laboratory furniture solutions and a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC, unveiled its range of modular laboratory furniture solutions at Arablab, the premier exhibition for the region’s analytical industry held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The company displayed its laboratory furniture and fittings, fume cupboards, acid resistant work tops and special counters used in the laboratories of hospitals, schools, universities, research centres and industries.

PROJECTS
One of its major projects in Africa was the supply and installation of laboratory furniture for the University of Khartoum’s new science laboratory.
Among local projects it completed was a contract from Adnoc involving the design, supply and installation of laboratory furniture for the Petroleum Institute Ladies Campus in Abu Dhabi. Furniture was delivered for a number of laboratories including historical geology, geosciences, reservoir fluid properties, machine tools, reservoir rock, chemicals, physics, instruments, thermodynamics, reactor, signal analysis, power distribution, stratigraphy-paleontology, materials and computer.
Labtec also supplied and installed laboratory furniture at the University of Sharjah Teaching Hospital. Material delivered included pharmacy furniture; utility area requirements; furniture for sterilisation areas, nurse stations and counters; melamine-laminated wooden doors; wooden and metal door frames; fire-rated doors and window screens.
