
EMRILL, a leading facilities management company in the UAE, has signed a deal with international energy services firm, Crowley Carbon, worth up to Dh100 million ($27.2 million).
The deal was announced during the Enterprise Ireland Trade and Investment Mission to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
The deployment of Crowley’s carbon control centre technology will be retrofitted into 800 buildings under Emrill’s management and energy usage will be monitored in each building from Crowley Carbon’s Irish headquarters in Enniskerry.
Crowley Carbon, headquartered in Ireland with offices in London and Sydney, will also improve energy efficiency at Emrill offices using its 80-strong range of products for energy, lighting, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning in its Carbon Control Centre using technology from Urbanise.

Crowley Carbon, established in 2009 by entrepreneur Norman Crowley, expects to open a Dubai office in 2014 and employ a further 20 staff in Ireland as a result of the Emrill partnership.
