
Newly established B2B steel site www.mesteel.com has grown to more than 600 members, according to the company.
Mesteel's interactive database contains steel inquiries and offers, new suppliers or buyers, steel news and events and job offers or CVs. The company said the site, the only one of its kind in the Middle East, had grown in a few months to 1,500 visitors per month.
"Steel orders are concluded through an easy online system where two parties exchange and update a secure common "proposal sheet" till the order gets eventually finalised," it said.
A minimal registration fee is charged, the fee including linkage to the clients' existing website or creation of their own new website by Mesteel.com.
Until the end of summer a one-month free subscription will remain in place.
