A US company marketing and distributing lighting products which successfully diversified overseas following distress after the collapse of the housing market at home was further rewarded for its efforts with a Saudi order.

LightingShowroom has been awarded a contract to supply 16,000 Quorum light fixtures for a major housing development in Saudi Arabia.

Rosemary Wickowski, CEO, said, “We are proud to have been selected for this project. On a project of this size the contract manager can easily go direct to the factory and not deal with the distribution channel. We were selected because we add value by managing the process. We work in the product design/selection phase, coordinate production and delivery schedules, oversee certification and customs documentation, and generally facilitate the process.”

Wickowski continued: “We support projects all around the world by making the task of sourcing lighting products a simple one-stop shop for busy construction project managers and purchasing departments.”

The biggest headache for international buyers is all of the customs paperwork, duties, taxes, and general hassle of the distribution channels. LightingShowroom represents most of the major lighting manufacturers domestically and has done international jobs for many of them.

We anticipate follow on orders of another 10,000 units since this is Phase One of a major development.”
