Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) has appointed Eng Hassan bin Hamad Al Yami as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of Eng Othman bin Ali Al-Ghamdi from the post.
Al-Ghamdi’s resignation, attributed to personal reasons, will take effect on August 31, 2026. He will continue to serve as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
The company’s board approved Al-Ghamdi’s resignation and the appointment of Al Yami on August 23, with Al Yami set to assume his new role on September 1.
Petro Rabigh said the board and employees expressed their appreciation to Al-Ghamdi for his contributions and efforts during his tenure, which included several significant milestones in the company’s history.
Al Yami brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the refining and petrochemical industry. He has held senior positions at Saudi Aramco, including Vice President for the Ras Tanura Refinery, as well as leadership roles at several Saudi Aramco-affiliated companies in Saudi Arabia and overseas.
During his career, Al Yami has led large-scale refining and petrochemical operations, major capital projects and business transformation initiatives.
