National Bank of Oman (NBO), in collaboration with Sharakah, has completed the first workshop of its SME Growth Program in Muscat, bringing together entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Oman’s economic development.
The NBO SME Growth Program is designed to equip SMEs with practical knowledge, business insights and tools to strengthen their operations, address growth challenges and build more sustainable businesses.
Through interactive sessions with experts, participants explored key areas of business development, including financial and strategic planning, business management and opportunities for sustainable expansion. The workshop also provided a platform for SME owners to exchange experiences, discuss common challenges and build valuable connections.
Mohamed Abdullah Al Dhahab, Assistant General Manager and Head of Large Corporates and SMEs at NBO, said: “SMEs have an important role to play in Oman’s economic development, and their success depends not only on access to financial solutions but also on knowledge, expertise and the right networks. Through the NBO SME Growth Programme, launched in collaboration with Sharakah, we aim to provide business owners with practical support to help them advance their businesses and reach new stages of growth.”
Through the SME Growth Program, NBO continues to strengthen its engagement with entrepreneurs and SMEs across the Sultanate, complementing its banking solutions with opportunities for learning and business development.
The programme supports wider national efforts to encourage entrepreneurship, strengthen the contribution of SMEs to the economy and develop a competitive and sustainable private sector in line with Oman Vision 2040, a statement said. -TradeArabia News Service.
