Senaat (formerly Zamil Industrial Investment Company) has announced that its key subsidiary, Zamil Steel, has achieved a major industrial milestone by delivering specialised process equipment for the Fadhili Gas Increment Project (Package 4) for Saudi Aramco and Samsung E&A.
The project scope included the design and fabrication of two Gas Slug Catcher / Separator units, each measuring 44 meters in length and 7,925 mm in diameter, with an approximate weight of 1,750 MT per unit. These units are the first of their kind, manufactured in Saudi Arabia with such specifications.
The vessels feature exceptionally thick walls and are internally clad with corrosion-resistant Alloy 825, with a total thickness of (196 mm + 3.2 mm). To manage the substantial weights and wall thicknesses, Zamil Steel developed specialised fabrication solutions and advanced manufacturing techniques, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety throughout all stages of production.
This approach helped ensure the reliability of the units and their ability to meet the stringent operational requirements of energy-sector projects.
Established in 1977 in Dammam, Zamil Steel Holding is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of Pre-Engineered Buildings, Structural Steel, and Process Equipment.
The company has delivered more than 90,000 buildings across over 90 countries worldwide, serving a wide range of industrial, commercial, and logistics sectors.
"This project highlights the growing capabilities of Saudi Arabia's industrial sector in the local manufacture of highly specialized heavy equipment," said a company spokesman.
"It also reflects the engineering and manufacturing expertise developed by Zamil Steel to execute complex industrial projects with demanding technical requirements," he noted.
With this achievement, Zamil Steel continues to strengthen its position as a leading industrial partner, supporting manufacturing excellence and the sustainable growth of the Kingdom’s energy sector, he added.A
