NMDC Energy reported strong financial and operational performance for the first half of 2026, with revenues rising 16 per cent year on year to AED9.5 billion ($2.6 billion), compared with AED8.2 billion during the same period in 2025.

The Abu Dhabi-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services company attributed the growth to a diversified revenue mix, with 70 per cent generated from local operations and 30 per cent from international projects.

The company recorded a net profit of AED251 million in H1 2026, supported by disciplined project execution and a strong order pipeline.

Its backlog reached AED33.3 billion by the end of June, while new projects worth AED2.2 billion were secured during the second quarter, strengthening future revenue visibility.

NMDC Energy maintained a solid financial position, ending the period with AED3.3 billion in cash reserves, providing flexibility to pursue growth opportunities and support shareholder returns.

The company also reported improved margins and profitability in the second quarter, reflecting operational efficiency and resilience amid changing market conditions.

During the first half of the year, NMDC Energy expanded its industrial partnerships and localisation initiatives in the UAE.

At the Make it in the Emirates 2026 forum, the company signed agreements to support local manufacturing, including a partnership with Energy Masters to establish the UAE’s first electro-submersible pumps (ESP) manufacturing facility.

It also entered agreements with Wasco Energy for modular fabrication for data centres and with Neway Valve for valve manufacturing localisation.

The company continued to strengthen its reputation for innovation and sustainability, securing six Stevie Awards at the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards 2026.

It was also recognised as the “Leading Offshore EPC Provider for Oil & Gas – UAE” by Global Brands Magazine and received industry awards for its AI-driven safety technology, including the AMAN HSE AI Camera System.

NMDC Energy said it remains focused on expanding its regional and international presence through advanced technologies, sustainable practices and digital project management solutions.

With continued investment in low-carbon initiatives and operational excellence, the company aims to support long-term growth across global energy markets.

Mohamed Almehairi, Chairman of NMDC Energy, stated: “Our strong performance in the first half of 2026 powerfully reflects the UAE’s resilient economic environment and NMDC Energy's unparalleled capacity to navigate evolving market conditions. We continue to prioritise long-term value creation by expanding our operational depth, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing the region's industrial capabilities. As the global energy landscape evolves, our focus remains on cementing our position as a leader in delivering sustainable, cutting-edge infrastructure that supports both national development and international energy transitions.”

Ahmed Al Dhaheri, CEO of NMDC Energy, added: “Our H1 results underscore the remarkable operational resilience of our business model, the dedication of our people, and our relentless focus on on-time project delivery. In an evolving macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, our strategic agility has enabled us to navigate market complexities seamlessly and fulfill our commitment to our clients without compromise. While we leverage advanced AI technologies across our fleet and fully maximise the capabilities of our modern fabrication yards as vital efficiency enablers, it is our execution excellence that carries a robust and expanding backlog into the second half of the year, providing clear visibility and the momentum required to capture new opportunities globally while setting new benchmarks in sustainability and engineering excellence.” -OGN/TradeArabia News Service
