Venkat Kalyan
Novo Nordisk, a leading global healthcare company headquartered in Denmark, has appointed Venkat Kalyan as the new General Manager for its GCC operations.
An industry veteran, Kalyan brings nearly 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, including 18 years at Novo Nordisk, most recently as General Manager of the Gulf Emerging Markets Cluster.
His prior leadership experience spans across diverse markets such as India, Switzerland, Denmark, Middle Africa, South Africa and Gulf countries, said a statement from the Danish company.
In this role, Kalyan will oversee Novo Nordisk’s operations across UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen, focusing on strengthening healthcare partnerships, advancing innovation and improving outcomes for patients living with chronic diseases.
The appointment reinforces the company’s confidence in the Gulf’s evolving healthcare ecosystem and the UAE’s growing role as a strategic centre for medical research, innovation, and partnership-led growth, said the company statement.
