Bahrain-based Nasser Centre for Science and Technology (NCST), the leading institution in AI research and development, has announced the successful development and deployment of an AI-powered Inspection Intelligence Platform in collaboration with China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), a globally recognized company with extensive expertise in infrastructure and construction projects.
This comes as part of NCST’s ongoing efforts to leverage emerging technologies to support digital transformation and enhance the efficiency of vital sectors.
The platform utilises Artificial Intelligence to transform construction inspection and approval procedures from traditional paper-based processes into an integrated digital system capable of automatically extracting, analysing and verifying data, reported BNA.
This enhances data accuracy, reduces manual intervention, and provides real-time insights into quality indicators and project progress.
This collaboration comes as part of the partnership between both organizations to develop innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve quality management processes, particularly within the construction sector, through the application of artificial intelligence and intelligent analytics in data processing and field operation management, it stated.
The solution incorporates advanced AI capabilities, including intelligent form classification, automated data extraction, approval detection, duplicate reconciliation, confidence scoring, live dashboards, and comprehensive audit trails. These features support decision-makers and enable project teams to monitor operations more efficiently and effectively.
According to Nasser Centre, this project reflects the collaboration between its advanced technical capabilities and CMEC’s engineering expertise.
The integration of both organisations’ strengths has resulted in the development of a platform that supports quality management in construction projects through AI-driven digital solutions, contributing to the broader adoption of advanced technologies and supporting digital transformation initiatives across various development sectors, it added.
