The Saudi Roads General Authority (RGA), in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP), has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from leading construction companies for carrying out the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Jeddah-Makkah Direct Highway for a 10-year period.

 

The newly built highway consists of a dual four-lane road spanning 64 km. It also includes four motorway services areas (two in each direction).

 

According to RGA, the project scope for the winning bidder includes provision of design, contruction, finance, operation and maintenance of the motorway services areas.

 

The tender aims to attract the best in-class road construction companies, to be delivered to the highest standards of traffic safety and quality, in line with the Roads Strategy and the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
