The Bahrain Pavilion at a previous edition of Gulfood

The Bahraini Pavilion will open from February 19 to 23 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where Gulfood, the world's largest exhibition of its kind, will take place, WorkSmart Events Management, the organising entity said.

The company pointed out that the available spaces in the pavilion are nearly occupied, leaving only one vacancy for interested companies.

Emphasising the pivotal role of the Bahraini pavilion at Gulfood, Ahmed Al-Hujairy, CEO of WorkSmart, highlighted its significance in supporting Bahraini institutions involved in the food and beverage industry.

The pavilion aims to launch their exports onto the global stage while providing insights into international advancements and practices in areas such as food production enhancement, biotechnology, sustainable agriculture, and improvements in manufacturing, distribution and storage processes.

Enhancing food security
This initiative aims to bolster national efforts in Bahrain towards enhancing food security, elevating local food production, seeking sustainable solutions for food security and self-sufficiency, and attracting investments in the food sector.

Al-Hujairy commented: “The significant turnout in participation in this year's exhibition underscores the recognition among Bahraini companies in the food and beverage sector regarding the valuable prospects presented by the event. Exhibitors are poised to capitalise on qualitative opportunities, including the chance to showcase their products, services, and innovations alongside over 5,000 exhibiting companies representing 120 countries.”

“This platform provides participating companies with the opportunity to assess their business prospects, formulate growth strategies, and explore investment opportunities within the sector. It also allows them to engage with distributors, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, and players in the hospitality and restaurant sectors, facilitating the exploration of promising business avenues in global markets.”

Al-Hujairy said the Bahraini pavilion is poised for a robust and noteworthy presence this year, featuring the participation of Bahraini food companies and brands such as Awal Dairy Company, Deeko Bahrain, and Kazerooni Brothers.

International Business Hub
He said the International Business Hub, organised by WorkSmart during the exhibition, will also host a global representation from notable food and beverage companies, including Al-Khair Company from Saudi Arabia, Zamzam Brothers Trading Company from Jordan, and Eco Cultura from Russia.

Al-Hujairy urged all companies in Bahrain's food and beverage sector to promptly register for the event, stressing that participation in the exhibition presents a unique opportunity for Bahraini companies to forge fruitful agreements and partnerships, expand their distribution networks, establish a stronger international presence, and bolster their prospects for growth and expansion in the region. This, in turn, contributes to solidifying the kingdom's position as a prominent global hub in the field of food and beverages.--TradeArabia News Service
