Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province Cement Company has announced the award of the contract to build a new production line to Sinmoa CDI, a leading Chinese company in the cement industry.
 
The project, costing $270.528 million, will have a production capacity of 10,000 tons per day, said the company in a filing to Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).
 
The contract covers design, supply, delivery, construction, and installation of the cement production line on the basis of a complete turnkey contract for engineering, supply, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and training of operation and maintenance staff until the start of commercial operation of the line.
 
The plant will be built at the company’s current premises in the Khursaniyah area employing the latest technology in the cement industry.
 
The company said the project financing arrangement will be announced later and the contract will be signed within two months from the date of the award. - TradeArabia News Service
