Oman’s Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (ASMED) has launched its first edition of a guide for SMEs and start-ups aiming to introduce them to different government and private establishments, segments of society and investors.

The “Guide for Small and Medium Enterprises and Start-ups” also aspires to help local SMEs and start-ups go global, reported Oman News Agency (ONA).

The guide, which comprises 84 such nascent enterprise in its first edition, also covers Omani trademarks specialized in industry and technology. It reflects diversity in terms of activities, products and services that the firms offer to individuals and establishments.

SMEs constitute 4.1% of the industrial sector. By providing SMEs and start-ups exposure, the guide offers them an optimal opportunity to expand their activities within Oman and abroad.
