The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY), the leading industrial maritime hub, took part in the Breakbulk Middle East 2026 exhibition & Conference, held recently in Dubai.

Founded in 1977 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ASRY is the Gulf region’s most experienced maritime repair and fabrication facility. Its leading range of facilities includes a 500,000 dwt dry-dock, two floating docks of 252m and 227m in length, 15 repair berths with a total length of 5,000m, twin 255m slipways, and a full range of workshops and service centres.

During its participation, ASRY highlighted its extensive expertise and advanced capabilities in the maritime industry. It also strengthened ties with its diverse customer base and built new strategic partnerships, while showcasing the scale of its technical and operational capacity and reinforcing its standing in regional markets.

CEO Dr Ahmed Al Abri was a keynote speaker in a panel discussion titled ‘Fleet Under Pressure: Capacity, Costs, and the Crew Crisis’. 

The panel addressed the key challenges facing the global shipping industry, while highlighting the impact of these challenges across the Arabian Gulf and Red Sea regions.

Business Development Manager Mohammed Sultan said: "ASRY’s participation in Breakbulk Middle East 2026 forms part of its strategic goals to strengthen commercial collaboration at regional and international level and expand its network of partners."
