Hungary-based furniture company Kanizsa Trend Ltd, whose products, mainly leather upholsteries, are marketed under the brand name Andante, recently presented its new models for the spring season.
“Experts predict a great future for clean forms of the modern trend. Therefore, the new developments of the spring season were (influenced) by the spirit of everyday design,” said a company spokesman.
“The pieces of the Designwerk collection suit the requirements of Feng Shui, that is they are comfortable, aesthetic and practical in one, often carrying the characteristics of minimalism,” he said.
“The harmony of function and visual appearance emanates tranquility, and their ergonomically perfect buildup creates a wholesome environment either at home or in the conference room. Even the smallest details have a great importance on these ‘design products,’ the chrome feet available in different forms often giving a futuristic effect to the furniture.” The spokesman added that the company offered high-standard designer products at affordable prices.
Kanizsa Trend, located in the city of Nagykanizsa, was established in 1989 as a German-Hungarian joint venture and its models are currently distributed among 26 countries worldwide.
“The company’s management is of the opinion that creating a clean profile on a professional level is the best way to success,” the spokesman said.
Beside leather seat groups, the company also supplies fabric upholsteries but in a less wide range. Approximately 100 models are available in eight leather categories and more than 140 colour options, offering a broad choice to different tastes and styles.
“In the last few years longlife leathers and Novalife fabrics have became very popular, due to extraordinarily high quality and the 5-year warranty,” the spokesman said. “The brand-name Andante, reflects the worlds of modern design and colonial style of the 1950s and 1960s simultaneously.”
The majority of the applied leathers are purchased in Italy, but there are also imports from Germany and South-America; cowhides are used exclusively.
Describing the products, the spokesman said: “Full aniline, air-permeable, open-pored leathers offer a nice cool feeling at summertime and warm up to body temperature within less than 30 seconds in winter. There are also covered or tiled leathers in the assortment especially for heavy duty use; in case of surface damage the hide can be restored to the original state. A high resistance to colour-fading and staining is secured by special surface treatment. With continuous care the leather can preserve its original state for decades.”
To meet demand arising from different tastes in interior design, the company creates model ranges that meet with the highest expectations of customers belonging to both younger and older generations, he said. “A couple of years ago darker models were in fashion; today crème or ivory colours and the lighter shades of brown are the most sought after. The tips on the company website also respond to questions raised on the harmony of colours and function.”
