FROST & Sullivan has announced it will hold a knowledge-sharing forum and present its Value Chain Leadership Awards (VCLA) on December 18 in the UAE. The precise venue has not been finalised, said a company spokesman.
The last date for nominations to participate in the award programme is August 31.
The company described VCLA as a global programme to transform supply chain and manufacturing capability. “Frost & Sullivan aims to identify and applaud sustainable organisations with strong business acumen and robust operational performance aligned to customer satisfaction and delight. Further, VCLA will bring forth industry best practice for organisations and individuals to learn and grow.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
“The rigorous on-site assessment process will evaluate manufacturing and operational excellence of companies on four critical aspects of manufacturing: customer focus, logistics excellence, operational effectiveness and sustainability.”
VCLA will cover a diverse and extensive range of industries such as chemicals, food and beverage, consumer products, paper, metals, fertiliser, petrochemicals, light and heavy engineering, paints, pharmaceuticals, electricals and electronics and cements.
“These awards can be a boon for the organisation because of their global recognition, global benchmarking and advisory. Organisations can benefit from Frost & Sullivan’s International reach/network, its presence and expertise across different industry verticals. Leaders/award recipients also stand a high chance of venturing into international markets,” a statement said.
SCORECARD BOOST
It said a scorecard will be given at the end of the assessment process to all participating/short-listed companies that will provide them a quantitative assessment of their strengths and weaknesses that need to be taken up internally for carrying out improvements.
“Frost & Sullivan’s scorecard is more than just a report handed out after an assessment. Since it is derived from a disciplined and structured process, the scorecard could be considered a strategic business tool used by organisations to enhance productivity/efficiency and customer performance and inculcate a culture of systematisation and internationalisation.
The thorough assessment process will culminate in a knowledge-sharing forum and a grand awards ceremony on December 18 in the UAE.
