Airbus is taking part in the 13th edition of Milipol Qatar for the very first time to showcase its mission-critical collaboration and communication solutions.
Milipol Qatar, which opened today (March 15) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, is an international event for homeland security and civil defence in the Middle East. It will run till March 17.
During the three-day exhibition, Airbus will be demonstrating how its state-of-the-art technology and solutions such as the Tactilon Agnet 500 and 800, Tactilon Dabat, Everus Manpack, Bordercore, TB3 base station, and Tetra system can reinforce internal security and civil defence in the country, said a statement.
Airbus’ Tactilon Agnet 500 and Tactilon 800 are flexible smart collaboration platforms for multimedia communication and data sharing. By using this push-to-talk and messaging service, security personnel can send data, video and voice messages to their fellow team members who are carrying either a radio, a smartphone, a tablet, or a laptop. In addition, the Tactilon Agnet 800 can support live streaming services to enable users to broadcast the situation on the field in real-time.
The Tactilon Dabat is a smartphone and Tetra radio in one. Equipped with a Hybrid Roaming feature that allows users to seamlessly switch between Tetra or LTE network services, according to availability.
Special Forces, military forces, and emergency personnel can also turn to the Everus Manpack for uninterrupted collaboration and communication. Airbus will be presenting the tactical bubble that empowers users to immediately deploy a network in an isolated or emergency area, where there is not enough bandwidth to allow specific security or emergency operations.
Airbus will also be showing the popular and cost-effective TB3 base station which allows safer operations for Tetra network users by improving the quality of service and delivering excellent radio coverage without black spots.
“Airbus’ participation in this year’s edition of Milipol Qatar comes at a time when the homeland security and civil defence industry in Qatar and the rest of the Middle East is steadily growing. The critical infrastructure is evolving according to the needs of the times. In fast-changing situations, public security, safety, and protection authorities should be equipped with modern collaboration and communication solutions for rapid coordination and actions. This saves lives and minimizes damage to people and property,” said Selim Bouri, Vice President & Head of Region, MEA & Asia Pacific for Secure Land Communications at Airbus.
“Our solutions help address the need of the homeland security sector. They are equipped with multimedia-enriched messaging or video transmissions to bring efficiencies to everyday operations,” Bouri said.
