Qatar-based Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) recently concluded the industrial classification course, which was held at its headquarters in Doha, Qatar.

Participants received their certificates from Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel, GOIC secretary general, who highlighted GOIC’s role in strengthening the capacities of the Gulf industrial sector’s staff, said a statement from the organisation.

The participants who attended this training were employees involved in industrial classifications at the Ministry of Energy and Industry in Qatar, Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), the Public Establishment for Industrial Real Estate (PEIE) in Oman, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry (PAI), it said.

The course that was delivered by Hatem Al-Rashid, economic specialist at GOIC, aimed at reinforcing the competencies of people working in the areas of industrial statistics, developing industrial statistical work and coordinating and unifying statistical methods adopted in various economic activities, it added.

The course also aimed to introduce the latest ISIC4 updates, conversion methods and the harmonised system (HS), it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
