MANITOWOC has announced it has sold more than 50 units of the all-terrain Grove GMK6400 since the launch of the crane about a year ago. A feature of the GMK6400 is that when working at its maximum reach of 134 m, the crane can perform lifts not possible with any other six-axle, or even seven-axle crane.

Four Donati industrial jib cranes have been delivered to Superior Tubular Solutions (STS)’ Dubai-based threading plant through Cranes-UK. STS, a supplier to the oil and gas industry, is part of the Soconord Group – a globally established, Belgian-based business.

Konecranes has enhanced its portfolio of industrial cranes by introducing an upgraded version of the CLX chain hoist crane. The new-  generation CLX overhead crane is mainly to be used for basic low-capacity lifting needs. The CLX chain hoist crane offers reliability, improved performance capacity, safety and easy maintenance.

ALIMAK Hek has introduced two new construction hoists at Bauma China. The Alimak SC 65/32 and SC 45/30 are available in single or dual car configuration. Both new hoist models offer payloads of 2,000 kg per car, and car sizes 1.5 x 3.2 m and 1.4 x 3.0 m.

Hiab, part of Cargotec, recently previewed its new and innovative crane Hiab X-HiPro 1058 at the IAA exhibition in Hannover,Germany. “We are very proud of our new crane and what it can do for our customers’ business,” says Sergio Peiró, product manager, Hiab loader cranes, heavy range.

TADANO Ltd. will launch a new rough terrain crane for overseas markets in March 2015. The new GR-500EXL boasts a 51-tonne capacity, a 42 m 5-section boom, and a right-hand drive.
