Kallman to market Dimdex

September 2015

Kallman Worldwide, an export marketing advocate focused on helping US and its business leaders capitalise on international trade shows, is set to market a leading international maritime naval defence and security exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

Dimdex (Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference) 2016, which will run from March 29 to 31 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, will bring together decision-makers and purchasing influencers directly affiliated with the area’s maritime defense and security operators and their global partners.

US maritime equipment and services companies competing for business in the Mena region will take part with the aim of increasing their share in the regional maritime market.

To accommodate this growing demand, Kallman will organise its flagship US International Pavilion at the upcoming event. It will encompass 1,230 sq m of space in Hall 6, a prime location for visitor traffic and attention.

Tom Kallman, president and chief executive officer, Kallman, said: “Now in its fifth edition, Dimdex has grown to become one of most important events in the maritime industry because of its proven ability to draw hands-on buyers with budget and decision-making authority from the Mena region and around the world.

“We are proud to have been asked to represent this business opportunity to our nation’s maritime equipment, product and service providers, and look forward to helping them grow their share of the regional and global marketplace at Dimdex 2016.”

“Over the past 10 years, Dimdex has established itself as one of the world’s major meeting places for maritime, defense and security leaders,” said Kallman.

“We are confident that the addition of the US International Pavilion organised by Kallman Worldwide will ensure increased US participation at Dimdex 2016, and heightened interest in US exhibitors among show attendees,” he added.

Dimdex is hosted and organized by the Qatar Armed Forces. In 2014, more than 13,000 trade visitors, including 82 delegations from 58 countries, attended Dimdex. More than 190 exhibitors from 30 countries announced some $23 billion in deals.

“First held in 2008, Dimdex has witnessed continuous growth to become a leading event in the international maritime defence and security industry calendar. Dimdex is much more than just an exhibition; the three-day event also features the international strategic Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC), the visit of warships to Doha Commercial Port and elite VIP delegation visits,” a statement from the organisers said.

“Providing a gateway to the lucrative Middle East and North African market, Dimdex is a unique opportunity to position your business for the current and future naval requirements of the region, and to network with senior representatives from the Qatar Armed Forces, VIP delegations from around the world and key defence decision-makers,” it added.

Maj-Gen Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, Minister of State for Defence, remarked: “With international attention once again focused on the security of the Mena region, we are optimistic about increased demand for the assets on display at Dimdex 2016 as the need for sophisticated naval equipment to control and defend the Mena’s offshore waters grows. Dimdex 2016 is on course to be the largest edition of the show to date in every respect and combined with a buoyant market, we are set for a historically successful event.”
