SAIE enters concrete deal with iccx

August 2011

SAIE International Building Exhibition, to be held from October 5 to 8 in Bologna, Italy, has signed a strategic agreement with International Concrete Conference and Exhibition (ICCX) to expand knowledge and innovation in precast technologies.

The partnership calls for extensive international promotion through numerous events worldwide, the culmination of which will be SAIE Precast Technologies 2011. An international conference will also be organised by ICCX at SAIE.

It will be a unique opportunity for leading companies to meet the conference speakers and representatives of numerous foreign trade delegations visiting the event, according to BolognaFiere, organiser of SAIE and CPI, a leading specialty technical publisher and promoter of events devoted to the precast sector.

This year, SAIE will show how the industry has progressed, with exhibiting companies and numerous discussions, seminars, and workshops on hand to provide solutions to industry professionals. The event encourages innovation in every sector of the construction industry, offering a Guide to New Products, a selection of top new products at the show and featuring ‘A Window on The Future’, which identifies products on exhibit representing excellence in terms of innovation and experimentation. Some 27 products were selected at the last edition based on four areas: integrated design, sustainable design, recovery, and speed and facility of assembly in yards.

SAIE focuses on three specialty areas: Saienergia and Sustainability for energy, sustainability, green building; Saie Sites and Production for sites, concrete, production; and Saie Services for designing and building focusing on services, software and hardware for building.

The lifting equipment and crane sector is an essential part of SAIE’s 47th edition, with top companies in the lifting equipment and crane sector having confirmed their presence at the event that devotes 30,000 sq m to this sector.

Last year’s event had a new approach that offered exhibitors new services as well as an innovative conference format for industry professionals who come to Bologna every year to discuss building ideas, designs, and technologies.

Over 168,000 professionals, with more than 6,800 coming from abroad, attended the 2010 edition.
