New advanced RWI sheet is launched

The new product, GOF XPE

Rubber World Industry (RWI), one of the leading manufacturers of a comprehensive and versatile range of technically advanced rubber insulation products, developed and recently introduced the GOF XPE Sheet, which is a laminated foil and self-adhesive product that can be used across duct application.

“The new product is suitable for thermal insulation, condensation control, and sound absorption, says Rizwan Shaikhani, managing director, RWI.  “The foam has a soft and smooth texture and a closed cell polyolefin structure. GOF XPE is eco-friendly and energy saving.”

RWI is part of the Shaikhani Group of Companies. “Over the last 20 years, the company has heightened its product and process development experience with innovative products designs, improvements and fully integrated manufacturing system, which clearly demonstrates RWI’s continued commitment to quality satisfaction and service,” said Shaikhani.

“RWI recognises the need for sound quality assurance in the selection of product manufacturers, which is evident in its being ISO-9001-2008 certified – a standard for Quality Management Systems for the design and manufacture of rubber insulation products. In fact, the company’s commitment to quality and continued improvement is highly reflected in RWI’s quality policy.”

The company’s manufacturing facilities produce up to 60 containers worth of rubber insulation products per month.

Commenting on the business, Shaikhani said: “RWI seeks to address three major challenges in the market today – the constant increase in energy prices, the demand for more comfort in homes and offices and, lastly, the need for eco-friendly building solutions.

“Amidst the stiff competition in the market today, RWI’s Gulf-o-Flex Insulation solutions remain an industry leader. We are proud to announce that specialised traders in many countries such as the Middle East, South East Asia, Europe, Canada, America, and Russia, along with mega-projects in the Gulf region have placed their trust and confidence in our products.”

Gulf-o-Flex is widely used across 90 countries around the world.

RWI solutions have become widely used across major projects in the region. These projects include the Dh18 billion ($4.9 billion) Reem Raam Project, Dh107 million Arabian Ranches La Avenida Project, Dh459 million Baniyas Residential Development, Dh1.7 billion Onyx Complex Dubai, Jumeirah Park Villas project (Package 7A, 7B, & 7C) and The Kempinski Hotel in Muscat, Oman.

RWI, according to Shaikhani, performed excellently in H1 2014, posting a 25 per cent increase during the first two quarters, which also reflects a 15.5 per cent increase in real revenue and profit growth as compared to the same period in 2013.

“We expect to continue in this upward trajectory towards the end of the year, which will allow us to double our profits and consolidate our market shares,” he said.

“One of the major highlights that we have experienced so far is the recognition of our HVAC and building insulation products’ compliance with Dubai Green Building regulations and standards. Our products, which play a key part in the UAE’s move to build a greener nation, offer a superior level of sustainability across a wide range of insulation solutions. We also offer, among other products, pipe and duct insulations as well as insulating panels that are composed mainly of rubber and polyethylene foam.  The recently launched GOF XPE product, provides long time usage and can lower energy expenditures, has the lowest heat conduction and helps in reducing the loss of calorific capacity.”
