Byrne moving to larger facility

Byrne recently supplied a 5 mVA temporary power plant at a prominent manufacturing unit in Riyadh

Byrne, the equipment rental specialist, has reported sizeable business growth in its Riyadh operations, introduced new equipment and is set to move into a new facility.

“The first four months of the year have shown noticeable growth in the Riyadh business, so sizeable that we are now all set to move into a new facility that is more than three times the size of the existing premises in the Sulai Industrial Area,” said Rajnish Kar, general manager, Byrne Saudi Arabia.

“There have been numerous additions of new equipment, especially in construction support equipment, powered access and industrial oil-free applications. We will continue to grow the business exponentially, targeting new markets and also new products for the existing markets in Riyadh.

“In Riyadh, Byrne caters not only to one of the largest construction markets in the Middle-East, but also to various other sectors – power projects and events which feed the metropolis. Riyadh is one of the younger branches of Byrne in Saudi Arabia but is moving at a very fast pace and we are confident that it will soon establish itself as one of the larger operations of the company. The Riyadh activity is run by a very professional and dynamic team and their progress in a very competitive market with many large players has been admirable so far.”

A COMPLETE SOLUTION

Kar said the Byrne business strategy has always been to provide not only equipment to support its customers’ needs but to also provide a complete rental solution to a number of fast growing clients in the kingdom and across the Middle East.

“Byrne prides itself as being a ‘one-stop-shop’ for a large variety of products and applications ranging from power, compressed air, welding solutions, lighting, steam generation, powered access, logistics equipment and packaged ACs and chillers to portable offices and accommodation, high-specification oil field camps and ablutions to name just a few. Having the widest range of equipment and services enables Byrne to cover the entire rental market be it for oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, projects or events.

In Riyadh, Byrne has been a unique supplier of ‘flat-pack’-based portable building  products which are basically high-spec, fire-rated portable buildings that can be installed in groups permitting various shape combinations  such as ‘L’, ‘T’ , lateral and end to end as well as the G+1 application. This gives customers enormous flexibility at sites and caters to increasing sizes and shapes as the project progresses, enabling them to monitor their rental bill. The flat-packs are easy to install, shift and transport while combining high-class workmanship with flexibility. They remain to date a unique rental product within Byrne.

ABLUTIONS, OTHER PRODUCTS

In addition, Byrne has been supplying high-quality ablutions for various construction sites in Riyadh with products that are not only easy to clean and maintain but also eco-friendly. The units are ordered under stringent specifications keeping environmental preservation primarily in view.

Byrne has also been providing power and industrial oil-free air solutions to a number of manufacturing units in Riyadh since the beginning of this year and the trend for such solutions which are ‘plug and play’ is steadily on the increase.

Discussing the special qualities and practices Byrne brings to its business and which helps it beat the competition, Kar said: “The principal advantage that Byrne has over competition is the vast rage of various products and services under one roof, second to none in the Middle-East. This, backed by a strong and unwavering 24/7 service commitment, makes the company radically different from most others operating in the region.”

Byrne also operates across the Middle East with full-fledged operations in the UAE, Qatar and Oman, besides having five branches spread across Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabia business is one of the youngest in the group but also one of the fastest growing.

A SPUR TO GROWTH

“Stable economic conditions combined with unmatched exponential growth in industry and infrastructure within the kingdom have encouraged  Byrne to start effective operations – complete with yards, offices and  kit manned by professionals – in Jubail, Dammam, Jeddah, Yanbu and Riyadh within a relatively short span of six years. From these strategically placed locations, Byrne manages to cater to the ever-increasing number of clients and gets closer to its customers,” said Kar.

“The company continues to be driven by passion.”
