BAHRAIN-based security fencing manufacturer BRC Weldmesh plans to open distribution outlets across the GCC within this year.

The company has reinforced its position as an indigenous manufacturer specialising in the design, supply and installation of security fencing products.

“Last month, we successfully executed a trial run of our production line whereby our engineers and technicians were trained to handle installation, commissioning and production,” said general manager Harish G Thaker.

Currently, the company exports 50 tonnes of weldmesh in roll form every month.

“We will shortly open distribution outlets in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Dubai, where our fencing division will showcase its new barbed tape concertina razor wire aimed at serving high security purposes in the industrial and domestic sector,” said Thakur.

“It’s razor sharp barbs can grip an intruder, proving to be an effective barrier against trespass.”

BRC Weldmesh, which pioneered the manufacture of the Concertina range of products coils, flat wraps and straight wire, delivers it to key organisations. The range suits national security and domestic purposes.

A new development facilitating export is a modular system of products which overcomes most of the logistical hitches. The standard size of the products helps the company to export in bulk and in truckloads, saving time and money.

Some of the other key products of BRC Weldmesh include chain-link, weldmesh, palisade and roll-top fencing.

Commenting on the cutting-edge qualities of the products, Thaker says: “Our products are manufactured using high tensile wires and are made to customers’ specifications in terms of variation in blade size or thickness that greatly benefit high-security purposes.”

Established in 1973, BRC Weldmesh has been successfully supplying material to the civil industry with new initiatives being taken to penetrate the commercial market comprising industrial plants, warehouses and construction sites.
